主僕的距離 The Employer and the Employee
Rodrigo enjoys a privileged life, overseeing his father’s business and benefitting from his wealth and influence. Only the failing health of his infant son gives him cause for concern. When he hires Carlos as a farmhand, also to ride his prized horse in an upcoming long-distance race, a series of spiralling tragedies is set in motion. Offering minimal exposition, Zas creates a searing allegory depicting the class struggle in contemporary Uruguay, where no degree of material success can protect us from the dangers of everyday life.
